Kelly & Ben | Wildhive, Callow Hall, Derbyshire

From my camera roll : A florist's diary
At the end of May, on one of those cunningly warm Derbyshire days that catches everyone by surprise, Kelly and Ben were married in an outdoor ceremony at Wildhive, Callow Hall.
Kelly looked stunning in her Suzanne Neville gown, whilst the boys opted for classic black tie. Inspired by the beautiful gardens at Callow Hall, Kelly chose a palette of blush pinks and soft whites, with flowers that felt abundant, romantic and just a little bit wild.
The bouquets were filled with peonies, roses, astilbe, stocks and alchemilla, with the Salmon Saucer peonies absolutely stealing the show. Their colour and movement brought so much joy to the designs and perfectly captured the softness of late spring.

For the ceremony, I created a floral floor meadow and dressed the garden urn to frame the backdrop, creating the feeling that the flowers had simply grown there. Inside, the guest tables were styled with little bud vases filled with flowers from the wider scheme, allowing the floral story to continue throughout the day.

These are just a few of my own photographs from behind the scenes until the wonderful Helen Rose shares the professional images. They capture snippets of a very special day and remind me why I love what I do so much.

A few days later, Kelly sent me this message:
"Nadia, I just wanted to quickly message you to say thank you for the most incredible wedding flowers I have ever seen!
When I arrived at the top of the aisle it looked as though I was stepping into a magazine shoot!
Honestly, thank you from the bottom of my heart. The displays were more beautiful than anything I'd previously seen or imagined. You are so talented!"
Messages like this never lose their magic. It was such a privilege to play a small part in Kelly and Ben's wedding day, and I wish them a lifetime of happiness together.
